  • DeFelsko PosiTest AT-A Automatic Adhesion Tester for testing coatings adhesion on metal, wood, concrete, and other rigid substrates. The AT-A’s electronically-controlled hydraulic pump is push-button-operated, eliminating the need for manual priming, or pumping of the hydraulic system.

  • The AT-A has been redesigned to include an enhanced battery providing 25% greater capacity for over 250 tests per charge, as well as faster charging times. Now featuring USB-C connectivity to facilitate continuous operation and quicker data transfer, the Automatic Adhesion Tester is compatible with any standard USB-C charger although charging times may vary. The new model also features enhanced reporting capabilities including detailed pressure vs. time data at one-second intervals in addition to maximum pull-off pressure, pull rate, and fracture type.

    DeFelsko PosiTest AT-A features a high-resolution, impact and scratch-resistant, colour Touch Screen display with controls identical to the digital keypad. A full digital keypad allows the user to select pull-off pressure, pull rate, dolly size, as well as to change measurement units or store readings in the gauge. User-selectable pull rate, pull limit, dolly size, and hold time, ensure conformance to international standards for a wide range of test applications.

    Additional features of the Automatic Adhesion Tester include the ability to record Pass/Fail results and identify the type of coating failure – cohesion, adhesion, and glue failures. Internal memory stores data for up to 100,000 pulls in up to 1,000 batches, including maximum pull-off pressure, rate of pull, test duration, dolly size, and the pass/fail information.

    The rubberized, impact-resistant end caps on the PosiTest Automatic Adhesion Tester provide an ergonomic grip, and stable, skid-resistant footing. AT-A also features a built-in, rechargeable NiMH battery, shoulder strap, and AC power option for greater versatility and convenience of use. Both models of PosiTest Adhesion Tester have the PosiTest Self-Aligning Dolly System which allows the dolly-head to articulate in the actuator to compensate for uneven surfaces, making possible a proper, vertical pull, and ensuring reliable, repeatable test results.

    In addition, Conversion Kits are available for all dolly types: 20 mm, 50 mm low bond-strength, 50 x 50 mm Tile Conversion Kit, and 50 mm C1583 Conversion Kit. The addition of any conversion kit to the allows the PosiTest AT-A to be used in a broad range of applications.
