  • DeFelsko PosiTector RTR-H Replica Tape Reader measures surface profile impressions taken with Testex Tape. The PosiTector RTR H Replica Tape Reader connects to current-model PosiTector gauge bodies, making it an economical addition to the PosiTector brand of coatings inspection instruments. Simply slide off the probe you are using, and slide on the PosiTector RTR probe.

  • Measure peak-to-valley height as easily as with a Testex spring micrometer, but with the added bonus of storage and download of surface profile values to PC, or other digital storage device, and incorporated into inspection reports. 

    PosiTector RTR-H Replica Tape Reader measures Testex Press-o-Film Replica Tape with greater accuracy than conventional dial spring micrometers. The 2-mil non-compressible Testex tape substrate is automatically subtracted from surface profile measurements, and measurements are stored in the gauge for download to computer or upload to a mobile device or PosiSoft.net cloud-based application.

    Available in Standard or Advanced gauge models, the PosiTector RTR-H Replica Tape Reader offers the same great features of all PosiTector gauges:

    • Automatically subtracts the 50.8 μm (2 mil) incompressible substrate from all readings
    • Minimizes inspector workload by reducing the number of replicas needed to ensure accuracy
    • Solvent, acid, oil, water and dust resistant – weatherproof
    • Measures height (H) and linearized height (HL) [1]
    • Mils/Microns switchable
    • Check shim provided to verify accuracy
    • Continually displays/updates average, standard deviation, min/max height and number of readings
