  • DeFelsko PosiTector Surface Profile Probes are stylus-type surface profilometers for measuring and recording peak-to-valley surface profile heights for a broad range of applications.

    DeFelsko PosiTector SPG OS Cabled Probe is a stylus-type surface profilometer for measuring and recording peak-to-valley surface profile heights in a broad range of applications. This model is ideal for measuring convex surfaces, such as tanks and pipes, with an OD greater than 3mm (0.125″).

  • With Alumina wear-face, and field-replaceable tungsten-carbide probe tips, PosiTector SPG is a durable option for surface profile measurement on steel, aluminum, stainless steel, prepared for coatings application by sand, shot, or grit blast, slurry blast, wheelabration, peening, Bristle Blasting, or other means of producing anchor profile.

    All PosiTector SPG probes feature:

    • Standardized 0.9 in/23 mm diameter wear-face with 0.5 in² (340 mm²) surface area
    • Field-replaceable tungsten-carbide probe tips
    • Accurate to + 5% over a range of 0 – 20 mils surface profile measurement (0 – 500 µm)
    • Conformance to international standards including ASTM D4417‐B, SSPC‐PA 17, AS 3894.5‐C (with optional 30° tip angle), U.S. Navy NSI 009‐32, SANS 5772 and others

    Features of all PosiTector SPG Probes:

    • Fast measurement rate of over 60 readings per minute
    • RESET feature instantly restores factory settings
    • Continually displays/updates average, standard deviation, min/max thickness, and number of surface profile readings
    • Every stored reading is date and time-stamped
    • Screen Capture – record and save image into USB flash memory for record keeping and review

    • PosiSoft Solutions for viewing, analyzing, and reporting data

    Standard Model PosiTector SPG Surface Profile Gauges features:

    • Storage of 1,000 readings which can be viewed or downloaded

    PosiTector SPG Advanced Model adds the following features:

    • Storage of 250,000 data sets in up to 1,000 batches and sub-batches which can be viewed or downloaded
    • SmartBatch™ allows entry of user-defined parameters to comply with various standards and test methods
    • WiFi and Bluetooth technology—wirelessly synchronizes with PosiSoft.net, data transfer to computer or optional portable printer, gauge updates, and connection to mobile devices for expanded functionality
