The Testex Kit contains everything required for testing surface profile. Testex Replica Tape is compressed against the blasted surface using the included burnishing tool, taking on the impression or replica of the blast profile, which is then measured using the Testex Gauge, which is specifically designed for this application. Testex Tape provides a permanent record of surface profile, making it possible to ensure conformance to specifications for steel preparation prior to coatings application. Measurement of surface profile of blasted steel is necessary to ensure adequate blast profile for coatings adhesion.
