NEW TITLE HERE
Chlor*Rid SP8 Rinse removes soluble salts and flash rust prior to coatings application. The protective coating industry and corrosion engineers are now more aware of the damage soluble salt contaminants cause than ever before: the presence of salts on surfaces can result in coatings failure and costly rework, as well as degradation of the substrate requiring expensive repair or replacement. Testing for chlorides, by both qualitative and quantitative methods, is common – and the threshold for acceptable levels is dropping.
Chlor*Rid SP8 is a two-step surface decontamination process. Use SP8 Gel and SP8 Rinse to remove surface contaminants such as:
- Chlorides
- Sulfates
- Nitrates
- Sulfides
- Flash Rust
- Blast Media
Chlor*Rid International also offers field test kits for detecting chlorides on surfaces, in water, and in concrete or blast media, as well as kits to detect chlorides, sulfates, and nitrates on surfaces. See ChlorTest Kits for more details.
Chlor*Rid SP8 does not leave residue on your substrate, and is good for use with any coating system or before and after welding.
