The Jr. Bridging Pit Gauge measures pit depth over large areas of steel corrosion. The Jr. Bridging Pit Gauge, an economical alternative to Western Instruments’ Bridging Pit Gauge kit, comes in three kit options: the standard Jr. Bridging Pit Gauge, Jr. Bridging Pit Gauge Plus, and the Jr. Bridging Pit Gauge Super.
The standard Jr. Bridging Pit Gauge assembles to 13.5″, to span or cantilever over larger areas of corrosion. The Jr. Bridging Pit Gauge Plus assembles to 15.5″, and the Jr. Bridging Pit Gauge Super assembles up to 27 inches long. All models may be assembled in either spanning or cantilevering options.
The Jr.’s main blade is fitted with strong magnets to secure the Jr. Bridging Pit Gauge to the work surface. Magnets are also available in the option Extender Blades.
The standard Jr. Bridging Gauge Kit includes:
- one Main Blade: 5.5″ long; centre or end-mount positions; fitted permanent magnets, cut-away nose for measuring next to welds.
- one imperial dial indicator (analogue or digital)
- 2 x 1.5″ End Blades:- mounts on end of Tee for extra contact; doubles as Slider Blade for Plus and Super models.

The Jr. Bridging Pit Gauge Plus kit includes the same items as the standard kit, plus:
- 1 x 3.5″ connector blade: joins Tee sections to increase length. Fitted with Permanent Magnet.
