G.A.L. Gage Adjustable Fillet Weld Gauge measures Fillet Welds and Weld Throat Thickness, and includes an unequal leg measurement feature.

Easy-to-use, the Adjustable Fillet Weld Gage measures fillet welds from 1/8″ to 1″ with + 1/32″ accuracy. Measurement values are etched into the stainless-steel gauge surface and filled to make reading easier.

To measure Fillet Welds with the Adjustable Fillet Weld Gauge: with the base of the gauge in line with the horizontal weld member, place the tip of the irregular curve edge flush to horizontal toe of weld so. Adjust the offset arm until it touches the top of the weld, and read the weld size indicated.

To measure Weld Throat Thickness, place the 45º angle ends of the Adjustable Fillet Weld Gage flush to the horizontal and vertical members. Loosen the thumb screw and slide the pointer until it touches the face of the weld. Tighten the thumb screw and read measurement from the 1/16″ marks along the pointer.

The Adjustable Fillet Weld Gauge also features a sliding measurement scale on the gauge base which, when  placed flush to the horizontal toe of the weld, the offset arm is adjusted to the top of the weld to permit measurement of unequal weld leg lengths.
